Gratitude quotes can truly put you in a place of experiencing gratitude. And, when you are in gratitude, you are truly magnetic to prosperity and your highest good. You count your blessings, you appreciate the simple things, you see new perspectives, and there is a joy of living.
The intention of this collection of gratitude quotes is to assist you in experiencing gratitude for where you are, what you have, and who you will be. It is designed to light your path and make it smoother.
Along the way, I will share some of my personal experiences in the hopes that you can see yourself in them.
And, then I will give you another set of gratitude quotes that you can take with you and hold close to your heart for whenever you need them.
“At times, our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from
another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of
those who have lighted the flame within us.” – Albert Schweitzer
I really love this quote. I remember a person who kept listening for who I was becoming every week.
Sometimes he would have to get stern, but most of the time he just kept acknowledging my commitment and who I was becoming.
One of the end results is that I became very successful in the accountability in which he coached me.
I have never forgotten that moment, and I have now taken that flame he lit in me and passed it on to many others by acknowledging them and who they are becoming until the next phase of what they want to create.
“Gratitude is riches. Complaint is poverty.” – Doris Day
“Learn to be thankful for what you already have, while you pursue all that you want.” —Jim Rohn
This 1st of gratitude quotes is so great! And, I also love the 2nd quote.
I
remember complaining about my job ALL of the TIME!!! What was
interesting is I didn’t stop, and then my raises dried up. And, then I
had the worst year ever (ironically, I was not the only one).
It was in that moment that I realized that maybe I needed to stop complaining and start developing a vision for myself. Why was I really there? Who did I want to be?
What did I want to contribute? How did I want to apply all of the leadership training and coaching that I received from past coaches?
In honoring the coaching of past coaches (my gratitude), I began to slowly but surely become more successful in my work. I was starting to get acknowledged (it’s amazing that when you acknowledge someone through your actions or even words that it comes right back to you).
And, as I keep saying, I eventually landed a position that was a really good fit for me. But now, I experience more and more gratitude towards my career, my work, and my teammates. It’s almost as if I have started a gratitude snowball. And, my teammates also genuinely appreciate each other. Now that is prosperity.
“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”
– William Arthur Ward
This one is interesting. I have known people who will not acknowledge others unless the person has done something really special.
It’s almost like this thing where if too much acknowledgment and gratitude is given, that it devalues it.
I can tell you can give out acknowledgment and gratitude liberally. In fact, as you continue to acknowledge and appreciate people, they are growing and developing like weeds. It’s incredible.
I think the difference here is that whenever you acknowledge someone, you acknowledge who they are as a commitment and you value each word you give that person every time.
I have moments, from time to time, people have been moved to tears because they got present to who they are and also because there were so known that they felt it to their core. You cannot give anyone a gift worth more than that.
And, that, I give you additional gratitude quotes. If you are like me, these quotes will help put you into a state of pure gratitude and joy. If nothing else, I hope they give you something to ponder or something you can take out whenever you feel so called to do so.
