Personal Prosperity Lesson

I have a business mentor who has a totally different viewpoint. She looks at the situation from the perspective of being of service.

When her and her husband were first starting out, they were dealing with a particular situation. Their business mentor said that they (the husband and wife) could make the business about the money or about the relationships.

The husband and wife opted to be more about the relationships than the money. While they may have lost money in the short term, they gained money in the long term with the goodwill they invested.

They played the long term game instead of the short term game which ended up helping them grow their business way beyond what they initially expected. What I noticed is that they attract the kind of people who want to be of service as well.

Although being of service and making money doesn't have to be mutually exclusive. Instead, true to a holistic view of prosperity, they ensure their people be of service in a way that is in alignment for them.

The post is that prosperity isn't just about the money. Prosperity is also about the relationships we foster with the people around us.
